When the Wembley Stadium concert was released for the first time in full in June 2003, a companion audio disc had to be made available too, in order to increase sales and offer the new artwork of a grandly arched Freddie commanding over the receptive London audience. The only problem was, that there wasn't all that much new to offer: the DVD restored the concert in its entirety, offering a handful of songs that hadn't made the cut on the 1990 VHS. When the concert had first been issued as Live At Wembley '86 in 1992, the entire show was presented, except for the coda of Tutti Frutti, which had been inexplicably cut. The sound, too, was excellent, so that just makes this release seem too much like an obvious cash-in to the DVD. And that's precisely what it is, but that's hardly a bad thing. Live At Wembley '86 had long been off the shelves, so an updated release was probably in order anyway. And Queen Productions was able to offer something new in the way of Tavaszi Szel Vizet Araszt, the acoustic duet from the Budapest show a few weeks after Wembley, as well as four bonus tracks taken from the 11 July Wembley concert, snippets of which had been featured on the bonus disc of the DVD. While it's the same old thing repackaged again with a few new treats to entice reluctant owners of the first set, it's still a damn good concert, and that's all that should matter.
