Spike Edney

Born Philip Edney, was Queen's third (and final) secondary keyboard player. Performed on the Shove It album, becoming a member of The Cross when Roger subsequently decided to form a band to tour the material. Contributed songs to the Mad: Bad: And Dangerous To Know and Blue Rock albums.

After The Cross dissolved, toured with Brian in 1992, 1993, and 1998, leading to appearances on Live At The Brixton Academy and Another World and his participation in the Queen + Paul Rodgers tours of 2005, 2006, and 2008.

Has also served in the house band of the London production of the We Will Rock You musical, and has his own band – the SAS Band (short for Spike's All-Stars) – which he fronts, along with a rotating cast of members.
