Yoshiki was born on November 20th, 1965 in Chiba, Japan. His mother was a piano teacher, and he started to learn piano at the age of 5. At age 10 he also started to play drums. In 1994 he worked with Roger Taylor, playing drums on Foreign Sand from Roger's Happiness album.
