Much like The Official Bootleg from early 1991, Live In Germany was recorded by the Fan Club in Düsseldorf at the Philipshalle, to offer exclusive content to Fan Club members; unlike its predecessor, though, the "album" was considerably shorter, due to The Cross's position as support act to Magnum on their German tour. The set was fairly common throughout the tour, with the surprise addition of The Also Rans; seven of the songs were from the new album, Blue Rock, while Power To Love and Top Of The World, Ma represented Mad: Bad: And Dangerous To Know. Unusually, I'm In Love With My Car wasn't played, nor was anything written by Roger from Queen's catalog, and only Man On Fire came from Roger's legitimate solo career.
As with The Official Bootleg, Live In Germany was exclusive to Fan Club members, and has never been given a proper release; however, with Roger working on some kind of career retrospective, it is hoped that he keeps such rare and out of print material like this in mind to include on whatever form the retrospective takes.
